BIO:
From his wildly popular eponymous dance, “the Bruck Up,” to countless appearances with artists like Wyclef Jean, Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes, for years, the world has been witness to the magic that is George “Bruck Up” Adams. Nobody could move like he could; contorting his body into the most mind-blowing and visually stunning forms in recent memory – and now Bruck Up is lending that same creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to the world of music.

For much of his childhood in Kingston, Jamaica, the young George Adams battled osteomyelitis– a bone disease caused by untreated cuts and wounds. Doctors recommended amputation of his “bruck up foot,” his family refused. Little did he know that over time that same “bruck up” foot would give him a name and a claim to fame. As a youth in Kingston, Bruck Up became fascinated with dancehall culture – from the music to the movements; he was ready to work for his stake in that world. Inspired by a slew of legendary Jamaican crews and the likes of Michael Jackson and MC Hammer, Bruck Up began honing his craft as a dancer. His innovative and animated pop-locking style quickly garnered him followers around Kingston. Before long, he was making a splash across Jamaica, appearing in stage shows and dances all over the island nation.

In 1997, Bruck Up met visionary music video director, Hype Williams. Williams told him that a move to the United States would work wonders. Stepping out on faith, Bruck Up followed Hype’s advice. One of Bruck Up’s first major U.S. projects was the critically acclaimed video for Busta Rhymes’ “Put Your Hands Where Your Eyes Can See.” His look, performance and style earned him a lot of attention. Bruck Up’s star was rising; he received endorsements from top fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, as well as being featured on MTV and in countless music videos. While dance had opened many doors, the desire to make music was burning inside him. Even the late great Notorious B.I.G. encouraged Bruck Up to pursue a career as a recording artist. Fulfilling his need to move in the direction of music, he began touring with the legendary Get Fresh CrewDoug E. Fresh & Slick Rick. This experience exposed him to many heavy-weights in the music industry. Since then, Bruck Up has worked with the likes of Shaggy, Teddy Riley, RockwilderRupee, and Lumidee. Bruck Up’s sound is best described as a fusion of Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soca, and Pop, because with music, there are no boundaries.
