Vikina AKA Ms.305 and CEO of PerraCoin recently joined the record label by international award-winning artist and Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull. As she takes on this new journey Vikina has a promising future with many upcoming new singles and collaborations that are bound to place her on the top music charts. In less than 4 weeks Vikina reached over 1 Million views on her single “INFIEL” featuring Omar Courtz. In late 2019, VIKINA sang & danced her way into the spotlight as the undisputed “show woman” & top finalist on Univision’s hot singing competition “Reina De La Cancion” executive produced by Daddy Yankee. She is ready to perform and speak openly about the obstacles young females face in a male dominated industry and how she has managed to use it to her advantage. Vikina hopes to fill a void that she sees in the industry, specifically, for strong Latin women.
Born in Miami to Cuban and Ecuadorian parents, Vikina (Victoria Cristina López) was drawn to music at an early age. She dedicated her youth to a variety of vocal, acting, and overall performance training that prepared the young starlet for a dream she was determined would one day come true. At the age of 17, the creatively motivated Vikina began writing her own music & joined the locally viral Latin-Pop group Los Primeros, where she quickly realized the lack of feminine presence in the Latin music industry. Undeniable potential granted her the opportunity to continue her development with various GRAMMY Award-winning producers and engineers who helped mold & refine her talent. Under the artistic name, Victoria, she shared her talent at a variety of venues, including Sábado Gigante, the Latin Grammy Street Parties, & Calle 8. After signing to an independent label which later dissolved, “Victoria” was left at a crossroads & decided to rebrand herself as an artist.
Upon changing her artistic name, the doors really began to open for “Vikina”. She flared onto the music scene with the release of her single, “Loca de Amor” in 2015. The single, produced by Pedro “SP” Polanco, combined the distinct rhythm of bachata with trap sounds & has currently received over 600,000 universal plays on Spotify. Catapulting off this worldwide success, for her next major single Vikina decided to add her unique vocals onto the infectious rhythms of Cubaton, once again pursuing a fusion of sound as unique as the artist herself. The song “Sola” featuring Cuban rapper El Taiger, gained the support of various radio stations & Spotify playlists, further proving that Vikina was destined to carve a lane of her own in the Urban Latino music scene.
She was later recognized as the winner of iHeart Radio’s “Tu Estrella” competition in 2017 which granted Vikina the opportunity to kick off the official iHeart Radio Fiesta Latina, where she shared the stage with Farruko, Zion y Lennox, & Shaggy. Shortly after she was selected to be a Uforia Debut Artist under the radar of Univision executives and has sung the national anthem for NASCAR as well as MIAMI HEAT events.
In late 2019, VIKINA sang & danced her way into the spotlight as the undisputed “show woman” & third finalist on Univision’s hot new singing competition “Reina De La Cancion” executive produced by Daddy Yankee. She inspired many with her story of fierce determination & is fondly known as “Miss 305”. Her fanbase nearly tripled on social platforms & she gained the attention of several labels who are looking to partner with the starlet on her up & coming releases.
Vikina hopes to fill a void that she sees in the industry, specifically, for young Latin women. “As a modern & bilingual Latina, I don’t hear enough music out there that I can identify with,” she says. “I want to write songs that girls like me can scream at the top of their lungs & feel empowered by.“ Vikina is confident in what she brings to the table and hopes to join the likes of other powerful Latinas such as Becky G, Karol G, & Natti Natasha. Her current project interweaves this determination, unending optimism, and passion for her art to create a product that will leave a lasting feminine touch and positive impact on the Urban-Latin Genre. Vikina’s rich voice and fresh message will captivate listeners and leave them wanting much more from this emerging artist.
